Balfour Beatty creates places where people live, are cared for, work, learn, meet, travel, and have fun. Our local teams have helped us create a reputation not just for delivering excellent projects, but contributing to the local community in the process. Our reliability means we have secured and renewed partnership agreements, allowing us to offer our customers best value through long-established partnerships.

We always endeavour to be a good neighbour in the way we manage our sites and contribute to the sustainability of the communities in which we work.

We believe it's important to listen to what local people say - and many of our projects are locally-conceived and controlled. As a national contractor with a locally-based delivery model, we're well positioned to help customers and local communities benefit from the legislative changes contained in the Localism Act of 2011, which gives them greater powers over what happens in their own area. And through using local teams and supply chain partners, everyone working on a project makes sure that, whatever we build, we are sensitive and considerate to local needs and concerns, as well as contributing directly to the local economy.

Versatility is one of our greatest assets. From constructing multi-million pound developments to restoring fragile listed buildings, the breadth of our expertise, experience and knowledge is evident in every project we deliver.

We focus on developing long-term sustainable relationships in core market sectors and our teams make sure we keep abreast of innovations in the construction industry and have a keen awareness of the environments in which we work.

Established in 1994, Glenman Corporation is a private, family owned and financially strong construction group with an excellent track record of consistently delivering quality projects for many repeat business clients in the public sector. In early 2011, Glenman acquired Frencon Construction Limited, based at Chiswick, west London with over 40 years’ experience of design & build and traditionally procured new build and refurbishment projects in the South East, particularly in the education, health and residential sectors.

Many of our current site and contract management staff have between 10 – 20 years’ experience with the company of successfully delivering projects on logistically challenging, occupied and confined sites and they understand well the importance of constant liaison with the client and end users to ensure a safe environment with minimal impact on adjoining business activities.

We are delighted to have been appointed to this Framework and look forward to working with our partners over the coming years.

Niblock are a specialist refurbishment company with an electrical division undertaking a full range of construction refurbishment, new-build developments and electrical Inspection and Testing and installation services.

We believe in traditional values of integrity and openness and maintain an ethos of working with our Clients, as opposed to just working for them.

Our strengths can be summarized as:
- Solid reputation for reliability and dependability
- Proven supply chain, many of whom have worked with us for over 10 years
- Experience of working in occupied premises and public and educational buildings
- Proven track record
- Full appreciation and advocation of a Partnering approach
- Willingness to develop and adopt innovative processes in collaboration with the client and to increase ‘added value’ practices with a view to reducing costs (though not at the expense of quality)

We advocate a culture of continuous improvement and delivery, not an adversarial or blame culture and attempt to keep our supply chain as a single team for the benefit of many clients, not purely for one project.

As a small/medium enterprise we pride ourselves on delivering what we promise and that has been the mainstay of our success over the years.

Supply chain
Suppliers who feel integral to our business are most capable of helping us deliver projects on time and within budget.  Our supply chain strategy is designed to encourage openness, trust and collaboration and we have created a set of relationship guidelines to ensure that these aspirations underpin the way we work.
We have strategic partnerships with a number of large national suppliers and we also support local economies by engaging with local suppliers and SMEs.  We are partners to the Supply Chain Sustainability School which provides a free virtual learning tool for suppliers to assess and improve their knowledge of sustainability.
If you would like to be considered for future partnerships, the next step is to register on our iPortal supply chain system.  For stage one approval, you will need to be registered with ConstructionLine and accredited under one of the Safety Schemes in Procurement.
